Your Responsibilities
- Core Teaching: Deliver 20 high-impact English contact hours per week to students aged 14–17.
- Curriculum Development: Plan, prepare, and adapt resources to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Assessment: Mark and provide constructive feedback on students' oral and written progress each term.
- Capacity Building: Conduct 2 hours of weekly seminars for local English teachers to share best practices.
- Collaboration: Work closely with a local assistant teacher to maximize classroom effectiveness.
- Extracurriculars: Lead 6 hours of weekly activities to foster English immersion outside the classroom.

Candidate Requirements
The Ministry seeks energetic professionals who meet the following criteria:
Essential Criteria
- Fluent English speaker.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in TESOL, TEFL, Linguistics, or a teaching-related field.
- Candidates with degrees in other fields must hold a recognized teaching certificate (CELTA, DELTA, TESOL, TEFL, TKT, etc.).
- Minimum of 2 years teaching English at the secondary or high school level.
- A clear criminal record and being physically/mentally fit for a teaching role.
Desireable attributes
- Previous experience living or teaching abroad.
- Familiarity with Cambridge, Oxford, or Pearson curricula.
- Advanced certifications such as CELTA or DELTA or Level 5 TEFL.
Contract Pathway
The Ministry offers a stable and rewarding career path.
Phase 1
Initial civil agreement until May 31, 2026.
Phase 2
A 3-month contract covering the summer vacation period.
Phase 3
Upon successful completion of the initial terms, teachers are offered a long-term 12-month contract.
